Story

Umeko is the sole heir to the Hana no Michi Dojo, led by Iwatsukai Tsubame and his wife, Iwatsukai Hasu. It is a prominent dojo with three hundred pupils spread out throughout the Japanese islands, teaching a variety of disciplines.

The most dangerous style, however, is Kuro no Michi style - or, the Way of the Crow. It is a style specialized in fast, wily strikes in dishonorable means - a style intended for assassinations or rapid kills. It is a style considered villainous, from decades of Iwatsukai tradition.

Trying to turn over a new leaf, however, Tsubame and Hasu spread their knowledge among budding heroes that wished to make a difference in the world. Showing them how to apply physical prowess along with their quirks, even the quirkless come to the dojo for lessons on self-defense.

Umeko - being the only child of the two and wishing not for their ways to fade - trained specifically in the Kuro no Michi style, seeking to find a way to turn a dishonorable, traditional force into an honorable, heroic way.
